The fightA Story by lostindismay_314I don’t know who needs to hear this but I need to say it
I got a lot of scars from my teen years.
But none as deep as the ones through my 20’s Physical scars heal and you forget they are there until someone points them out. The emotional scars I gained the 10 years after my self harm. Those won’t be forgotten, they shaped me. Made me stronger and resilient. But they also sneak up on you... They wait until you are tired, had a bad day... they wait in hiding after years. They wait until your weakest moments and then kick you while you’re down. As those scars consume your mind, remember, they had to wait until you were weak to get to you. Doubt , fear, emotional exhaustion, these things don’t make you weak. What prays on you during your dark hours ... that’s weak. You will rise when your strength returns. Darkness is temporary, and resilience is your light. © 2019 lostindismay_314 |
