one of the few...

one of the few...

A Poem by Brad
"

endless search

"

Anyone can find

Physical fulfillment

Just wham

A bam

A thank you, ma’am

But who are the lucky

Whom find that other

Who yearn for the scent

Of their lover on their pillows

Who know the thoughts

That vibrate from the others heart

Who lives in the songs

Of lovelorn poets

Can that even exist?

Beyond the Nicholas Sparks novel?

That perfect ending?

Where is that?

You know

If you’re one of the few

Who don’t feel the lonely empty

Like the rest of us…

The Nicholas Sparks novel comment did me in...lol. This was spot on when you take a look around really. I work in a construction office....when the boys get a hold of me writin' luve poeeems....its like blood in the water, makes me pretty gay in their eyes...lol.

Many feel the thorns. Only the blessed few get to smell the everlasting rose of innocence&love

poke...poke...yep, just as I thought...it's all soft and squishy...you know that spot you never show anyone...in between the plates of armor you usually have up. Who could blame you for that though, it's a tough world out there.

This was good. Always nice to see another side, and you presented it in a way we can all relate to...the sickening suck of loneliness that seems to last forever and ever and ever. The font's a nice touch too...like whimsical and junk. ;)

Well, I have always been bit of an optimistic, so yes it does exist. I believe we get what we think we deserve and yes sometimes hard times are going to come and they are going to be complete times of maddness!! But when we have bad we recognize the good. This piece was stellar. Enjoy this life, it is the only one you have....

I loved this, Bradley! Especially the wham, bam, thank you ma'am. Never before have I read that in a poem; yet, you did so in a way that was essential to the poem...it was also classy! This is a beautiful poem of yearning for one's love--one's soul mate! Great job!
