The Nicholas Sparks novel comment did me in...lol. This was spot on when you take a look around really. I work in a construction office....when the boys get a hold of me writin' luve poeeems....its like blood in the water, makes me pretty gay in their eyes...lol.
The other is YOU, my brown skinned beauty. Who says that fulfillment comes from a partner? Why should your happiness stem from the presence of another? One truth that stands the test of time will always be "You cannot completeness in another until you find completeness within yourself." Screw another imperfect headache to share 24 hours of the day with. Besides, I'm the only perfect woman out here and there isn't enough of me to go around. *wink*
By the way... looooove this poem!
Sometimes a good wham bam is just good for the soul. to get you going, get the juices flowing. But I know that lonely empty feeling, that feeling of needing someone in your life, someone to be there with you...through everything. A great emotional release.
Wonderfully honest wordcrafting, well done! Honestly, I think most people look outside of themselves for Love and Happiness without first finding those things within them selves... and if you can't give it to your self, you aren't going to find anything true or satisfying elsewhere. I am one of the lucky ones to have found my true other half, but... I wasn't looking for him at all, and was content as I was first. Of course, one must also consider how many really annoying and aggravating people are out there outnumbering the really great people in any population :o)
Just wham, bam, thank you maam, eh, Bradley. I don't know whether it was the font or the cadence, or the wham, A bam, A thank you Maam, but I just found myself prancing along with you on your journey, until I reached the surprise ending. I really liked this, Bradley on oh so many 'A' levels.

I might have added A in front of Wham...Did you think of that? I know it's so minor but did you consciously make the decision not to. Always curious how and why writers make their choices of words.
