lost paradise....

lost paradise....

A Poem by Brad
"

somewhere...there is a land of respite

"

where’s my beach

that blanket of sand

warm upon my legs

that ocean crash

ebb and flow

massaging the restless

heart and soul

of a blinded shadow

of a man

bullied into silence

where’s the palm trees

and the endless sun

to break the monotonous

darkness that creeps

upon my every turn

that salt water air

to relieve my senses

take me home

take me home

don’t let me die

in this strange hell

where no one knows me

and no one claims me…

You do belong there, not just because of heredity, but it is soothing, calming and can turn a black mood into white. I hope you find your way back soon~

Never quite found my home yet, but I know it sure as h*** ain't the Midwest...

This is good stuff. I feel the same way about the sea. Grew up on the shores of South Florida. I miss the Atlantic everyday...and especially at night. great writing.
cheers!
