I gave it my all

I step to the edge where the tips of my feet- parallel the defeat. Who knew this was so appealing; to just send myself reeling. I take a breath as I dive against the air. I'm putting an end to this endless despair. No one reaches out, no hand to hold. I do this alone, I try to be bold. I am so taken back by the wind in my face which becomes an embrace. It soothes my fear and I can finally wipe away the tear. After leaking for days, I can step out of the haze. I've got this.........this time I won't miss. Not even one push was needed to fall, with this final leap I gave it my all.
