Mary Jane

Mary Jane

A Poem by Tiffy.

Mary Jane
I never saw you as plain
Something different
Something beautiful
Can't seem to see
Whatever I saw in you

Mary Jane
Turn your head in shame
You've turned a different shade
For the green will never be enough
Which is why you turned red
And just like blue you'll always fall

Oh sweet Mary Jane
Could you ever be so fake.
A lie has wrapped around you
You believe every second of it
This isn't a beautiful lie
Nothing you take will make it pretty
Only uglier than the actual truth

Mary Jane
Why'd you throw me away
On biscayne
You think it's fine
But you are nothing
And if I told everyone
Not even the hardest users
Would want anything to do with you.

Author's Note

Tiffy.
The name has a double meaning. It's a pseudonym and it's also the general term that most people know. She really hurt me and I needed to get it out.

Well good for you for recognizing the poem... and this poem to me is your giant leap to a new world full of hopes and dreams now that Mary jane won't be clouding it up. By the way love how you used the green red and blue, very creative.
