Red

Red

A Poem by R.L. Davenport

They hide the cataclysm
Moon and mars is not for you
Nor is the truth
Warlike hatred ready for death
Trapped without self respect

Madman, the God's call me
Because I laugh at the flesh
That's why I write to you
You'll choose to be someone
Mortal hero or a failure in test

You can't see color
Popularity is for casualties
A statistic as far as the red eyes can see
Destroy desire or succumb to your own pyre
It was always you against you

Disregard your enemy
Pleasure and ego
Indoctrinated for free though
Looped adolescence in twilight
Sadness obvious and finite

Fairness, appearance is stress
Focus on the future
The past is always life's molest
You'll have a chance
While the forces of fire await for you to burn to death
