Sweat

Sweat

A Poem by R.L. Davenport

It's the reasons we live for,
The season of death
Who can grow old,
Obtain reputation, love, and respect?

Who can look deep inside?
Past their own Ego and Pride
After the body is shattered,
Recognize there's still mountains to climb

Who can do it with merit?
Morals and ethics declined
Masculinity's truth
And the worlds problems aligned
