incarcerated heart

incarcerated heart

A Poem by lorrainelobotomy
"

not good at all

"

all those slips of paper

with your name written across

in that fancy cursive

sitting next to the hearts.

i threw them all away

just to let you know

your name rings a bell

as well as it bears a blow.

you're the worst i've ever had

but the best taste so far

because no matter what you do

you're smile is my star.

I loved this poem.. the beautiful and painful essence of love.. captured so well .
Very few words , but they are enough.

That is so perfectly written... I wish I would've thought of it! ;] This poem really intrigues me--I think because I've had more than a couple situations like it in my life. (Or what I interpret it to be about, anyway) Like, in life, you're just bound to meet people you shouldn't have anything to do with, but still want so bad...
