I Loved You From The Start

As the smoke disintegrates into the night sky

I think of the look in your eyes.

It was love at first sight,

all it took was time for you to realize.

I am only a girl

with too big of a heart,

but that you knew from the start.

A few years to date

I will never be afraid

of your love ever again.

You are my best friend,

on my mind all of the time.

I am your princess,

and you are my toad,

but that you know.

Let us grow old

and stay young at heart.

I loved you from the start.

I liked this. I especially enjoyed the ending rhyme you had there. I can relate to this poem, a tad, which makes it even easier to like.
