EnablerA Poem by Lorna LeeFor anyone that ever loved someone enough to enable them to continue a behavior that may not be in their best interest, because you can't stand seeing them suffer...
He begs, I give… it’s an endless dance
That what I give could be the last
I hate to see him in this pain
From giving him what he feels he needs
Why can’t he see that this is wrong
His destiny is in his control
Life is too precious to ignore
If its pills that you seek to get you through
Let go of the substance and embrace the will
To help you get through all those times those are tough
To administer daily in doses complete
So please let go of that medicinal stance
