One WishA Poem by Ellie BrewsterThis is a poem of what keeps me up all night long.
I am blessed.
I have everything I could ever need. Still my mind is never at rest. My thoughts branch out like an ever-growing seed. When prayer and fate collide the possibilities are endless. My mom is the only one I can go to to confide. Being without her, I'd be a mess. My mom is my is always on my case. How could God ever take her from me? Shes the smile on my face. Doesn't he know how dead I'd be? It keeps me up all night The nightmare never ends It consumes me, alright. My faith in life bends. Don't take her away! I scream in my sleep. Any price i'd pay! I every so often weap. I'd do anything for my mom to stay. Being by my side through it all. Healthy and strong everyday. May her spirit never fall. I know that one day I will wake And it may never be the same I'll cry, please God let this be fake. I just pray cancer isn't to blame. © 2013 Ellie BrewsterAuthor's Note
