One Wish

A Poem by Ellie Brewster
"

This is a poem of what keeps me up all night long.

"
I am blessed.
I have everything I could ever need.
Still my mind is never at rest.
My thoughts branch out like an ever-growing seed.

When prayer and fate collide
the possibilities are endless.
My mom is the only one I can go to to confide.
Being without her, I'd be a mess.

My mom is my is always on my case.
How could God ever take her from me?
Shes the smile on my face.
Doesn't he know how dead I'd be?

It keeps me up all night
The nightmare never ends
It consumes me, alright.
My faith in life bends.

Don't take her away!
I scream in my sleep.
Any price i'd pay!
I every so often weap.

I'd do anything for my mom to stay.
Being by my side through it all.
Healthy and strong everyday.
May her spirit never fall.

I know that one day I will wake
And it may never be the same
I'll cry, please God let this be fake.
I just pray cancer isn't to blame.

We are the sum of our experiences. The love we feel for others and the memories that are made through joyous times are key building blocks for who we are now and who we will become. We all have our fears of losing loved ones, that is part of being human as we haven't become immortals...yet... So its important we see that it's better to live those moments we have now, live them full and with joy. So that we don't regret later having spend more time worrying about the future, than living in today.

I can relate to how important a mother is. You've woven your words well to convey your hearts feelings on the subject.

Great Ink!

Beautiful face with so many tear stains. This is well written but there's a very sad story behind it isn't there. If this is your story, be strong. And when you can't God will be your arms to fall into! Well done with your words again!
