Heaven! Hell?

As I lay there on my death bed I was visited by 2 very different characters

The first one came on Saturday, much to my surprise

He was a tall man with a wicked grin and sparkly black eyes

His teeth were as white as his skin and his voice was rich and deep

He asked me, in a voice as tempting as sin, if I would like to take a walk with him?

He helped me too my feet and took me to the window

He opened the window and stepped out, I followed him with unsure feet

My feet fall upon ground that was hard and cracked and my lungs filled with hot dry air

All around me I saw people, my friends, partying and drinking and making love

The man beside leaned in close and said, "what do you think, it's pretty nice down here?"

I nodded for the I saw my friends but the heat made my head spin

Then he took me back to my room and lay me down in my bed, kissing me hard as he did

"I'll see you soon" he said, and then he was gone

The next visitor came on Sunday

She had long golden hair, and eyes that were ready made for disappointment

When she spoke her voice was like a choir in pitch and tone

She asked me weather I wanted to take a walk with her

She took my hand and helped me rise, led me to the window and stepped through

My feet fell upon earth that was soft and lush with daisy peeking through the grass

The air was cool, clear and smelt like roses, but I saw no one whom I knew

This place was full for people, yes, but all were quiet and still

She led me around awhile and she showed me great beauty before she took me back

She lay me down in my bed and place a kiss upon my forehead

"I will see you soon" she whispered and the she disappeared

So when I died I made a choice

My choice was not to chose

The both had there perks, both Heaven and Hell

So I grabbed a return ticket at the pearly gates, and went to both for awhile

Heaven had a better climate

But who got forget the Devil smile
