  Your little heart is open

The world whispers your name

  I know that when you take that step

You will never be the same

  Your big brown eyes are wide and clear

Without a shadow

  Of doubt or fear

I will watch when you take that step

  And put on your big girl shoes

You are so sure in yourself

  You know you'll never lose

This world is unforgiving

  So look before you leap

Be careful where you wander

I like that one because youngsters are so fearless at that time, so sure of themselves. It's tragic that they have to face a world so terrible when they grow up.
