For my mum

This is a poem I am writing for my mum on her birthday on the 20th of November.

I can not find the words to say the ways you help me day to day

The love you show does always grow no matter what I do

And now I sit here wishing I could show this love to you

The way you smile at my faults the way you bat away insults

You shelter and hold and into your arms I can always fold

My life could never be this sweet and this is the way our hearts do meet

I've loved you forever and I'll love you for always.

I love you mum.
