Sleep's BalladA Poem by VinneTheCreatorUh it's late and I'm really sleep deprived. Hope you enjoy
Sleep's ballad
Sleep, my blissful faithful friend Your always there for me at a long days end Always there for me after the last moan (XD dirty joke) But make sure to respect my time alone Ever day's a holiday when you give me a thoughtful gift Some energy and anti-gravity to give my head a lift If you ever withheld your present, my head would be a pheasant and fly away before crashing down into the blue I'd probably just sit and lean whilst all the while dreaming sweet thoughts of you And the dreams I dream are just as fantastical as any book you could imagine With I the knight and you the princess sitting beyond the dragon So I raise my sword and unload a yell fighting until my last breath Till blood coats the ground, stray limbs lie around, and only you and I are left But the truth is sometimes we fight rough and bitterly compete Neither you or I are awake enough give in and admit defeat So we tough it out grim and dark watching the shadows grow long But in the end our sacred bond is mended with just a song So I give this ballad as my only token of thanks for staying with me all the while Because of you, I live my day through, before giving the ceiling a smile
