A poem that describes the pure majestic beauty of a Scottish land with unforgettable rolling hills of evergreen. A place I have never visited but for in dream.
Are you skin ? Because you of us words go in the wind but your words we feel.

I feel I write the way I do because of the passion I have in my heart that comes from my Latino roots. We love so passionate that we express it in our ways. And when we speak of the things we love we want the stories we tell about it to be felt by others as well. So they can fall in love and k on that love as well. Thank you again my friend for your kind words.
A wonderful poem shared Carlos. I liked the yearning in the words. I have been a Gypsy, most of my life. Big Sur, California stole my heart many moons ago. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry and your thoughts.

One can not help but get lost within their beauty. We can hold them in our hearts briefly but never get to keep them forever. It's their siren whispers that always call to our sailor's heart. Thank you again my friend.
Never been to Aberdeen, but have been to other parts of Scotland... but I hear from friends that it is awesome.... in the highlands... green hills and valleys, high cliffs dropping to the sea, would make a fine painting...you portray this beauty in dreamy words.... yearning to return home to its magical universe of Gaelic tales and song.
Dreamy piece Carlos....

I've been trying as of late to take in these brief moments of pastoral beauty I find myself blessed to see on my drive to Monterey California where I work now. I saw pictures of Aberdeen and was drawn to its beauty. With a sense of something old and hidden always there waiting for our return. For us to embrace its beauty again. And I dream of Aberdeen, now. Or perhaps a little place of heaven to call my very own. CLE

You're very welcome Carlos; I love pastoral poems, so calming to the soul....

Such beautiful dreamish words and wonders! I can feel the tender aching to awaken in this world. Had seen first of your roots in Salinas. Would travel your way from Tracy to Monterey in days gone by. Would you ever wish to walk in the world where your words were awakened? There in Aberdeen? Feeling its bliss in every line of your poetry.

Carmel Valley road is one as well as highway 68 towards Monterey. They are spectacular countryside views that just capture the imagination with their beauty. I feel at times we are a bit spoiled because we feel there is plenty of time to see these spots, but we fail to live in the moments and be absorbed by them and their beauty. Life is as fleeting as it is fragile. It is the moments of blissful brevity we take with us after. Thank you kindly for sharing your thoughts with me on this poem. I truly appreciate it my friend.

I was truly captured by pictures I saw on the landscapes there. It really inspired me and drew me to all the places that we define home within our hearts. It is a yearning for that sense of home. The spot that reminds us of our youth and times we were most alive and enchanted by the world we live in. We all have our own Aberdeen. Thank you so much again.
Wow dear Carlos...This would make such a wonderful song.
Feels like you must go there for a visit...for some reason you are drawn to Aberdeen...

It does indeed feel very much lyrical and almost anthem like. I was inspired to write this after going on the internet and typing in "beautiful rolling hills by the sea". Several pictures came up but I was captivated by one in particular which named the place Aberdeen. It hit me like a gale wind the inspiration for this poem. It was a piece that basically wrote itself. I felt I was only along for the journey. A piece of my heart will always stay upon those rolling hills facing the sea; in Aberdeen.

I can confirm Carlos, that it is in fact a dear green place, under all that flippin' snow! 😊
Sometimes I wonder if ma nature needs a new calender or a place in an old folks home, because spring is way overdue and there might very well be a riot if summer forgets to make an appearance 😊
Ps.. If you ever make it, make it in July. There are no guarantees to our weather, but it would be the safest bet 😊

I love your poem! Especially, your repetition of I dream, I dream/I dance , I dance/ I dream, I dream... Also your last two lines, "With poet's heart/Forever green"... This means so much.

We yearn to be home and know home. It is a longing both physically and spiritually. I feel it is one of our very first love's. The love of being home. One that we never truly and fully appreciate until it is gone. It is the unsung song that resides in our hearts to remind us where we came from. The ancestral calling. We each have a place individually our own. Which we call home. Thank you so much again for sharing your thoughts with me on this poem.
This rings classic in nature and majestic in stature. I can hear this as a song or rather anthem. It has a pleading call to it that draws one toward this location. Although I have never been there there is a longing to see it. Yes there is a universal longing for home, different for everyone. For some it is a location, for some a family, and others the return to that state from which we all originated.

We as poets and dreamers may wax poetic about its nature, but in the end it is individual to each heart. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I really appreciate it.
A most appreciation of this beautiful place. You don't squander any words. I feel the connection and longing to visit this place to meet your angel one day. You have the heart of a poet, the sword of Medieval lore and the mighty pen of modern poets.

There are times where I have felt I was a man born of a different time. Despite its harshness of an age I would have loved to be alive during medieval times. To be a part of creating the romances of that time. Or even the age of renaissance. To wander the muddy roads or cobbled stones reciting poetry as a bard. It would not be an easy life I am sure, but for poets we subsist on other things to find meaning and purpose. With a quill and parchment we strive to change the world. So little has changed in the modern poet with exception of the tools we utilize. Thank you again my friend.
