Thank you kindly for sharing your thoughts with me on this poem. I really appreciate it.
The predator lurks. Perhaps death is a reluctant angel. Loves life, yet can't help but take it. You put tarot in your title. The original use of tarot cards was a game poets would play in the 13th century. I'm wondering what your meaning or reference is?

At times it hints to the theme of the work. Tarot cards inspired this piece along with my admiration for Brothers Grimm stories. My favorite of their's being Godfather Death. In some instances the alternate title may have some relevance to other pieces of poetry or writings. It's a fun little thing I tend to find amusing in my creative process. You have a very perceptive eye to take note of these my friend. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me on this piece.
I felt the power and grim aspect of this reaper: millions fear the outcome but some wait with assurance in their hearts. I like how you tell the story and the ending. You give us a taste of the future to come: lose not hope though.
Excellent and unique work.
Note: Line 4(should it be known)???

Thank you kindly for your comment. When I was young I read the brothers Grimm story called Godfather Death. It is my favorite of their's. It is a short tale but incredibly wise in the message. I want to say I was about 10 when I read it. That story held such a deep fascination within me. I love tales of the macabre but especially those that have a wise message to them. What makes us writers and artists is the curiosity within us. We want to know or imagine something greater than ourselves. Whether it is love, or death. I believe wholeheartedly it is the place where art, inspiration, creativity reside. Thank you so much again for sharing your thoughts with me my friend on this poem. I value your opinion immensely.

All true and well said. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. You are welcome sir.
Now the Brothers Grimm, I remember well from tender years. Dark tales that often left me wide eyed and scared. I somehow can’t imagine Grim Reaper in your poem to be a simple dreamer who yearns for life. No he is a sinister character up to no good:) I enjoyed the read Carlos.

I started reading at a young age. Before 9 I was reading Lovecraft and Poe, two of my influences as a writer if I'm to be honest. One of my fave Grimm tales is a piece called God Father Death. It is such a dark piece filled with incredible wisdom. One being don't f#*%# with Death lol. Throughout history death has always been painted in dark visage as an omen that portends dark tidings. Unfortunately he doesn't look like Brad Pitt in the movie Meet Joe Black. But what if he did? Or perhaps like Cate Blanchett? What if death was alluring and an imposing beauty? What if death was curious about life; and yearned to know it? What if death is the tender kiss we give to our loved ones for the last time? That is a mystery I hope to someday know. Thank you Chris for your sweet comment and awesome conversation.

You know I loved Hansel and Gretel and Red Riding Hood. Such very scary bed time tales for little ones. Enjoy the rest of the day Carlos.

You too my poet friend. Thank you so much again. CLE
I enjoyed the read, my friend. Death is the great imposter of endings but the universe wastes nothing. Keep up the wonderful writing. F.

Good rhyming, Carlos. I especially like rhyming couplets. Well, of course, death has gotten some bad pr over the centuries, and I admit to bias. Really hard to see the GR as "a simple dreamer who yearns for life." Even if it is true, the sucker shouldn't gorge himself so.

It's been so long since I read Grimm's fairy tales, so I don't remember which stories are theirs, but I do remember that a lot of fairy tale literature is quite dark. Like who entertains kids by telling a story of children entering a candy house only to be encountered by a woman who wants to eat them, and ultimately the children escape by murdering her.

The first two writers I read were H.P Lovecraft and Poe. I was about 8 or 9 than. Much too young for those storytellers to be honest. But I was fascinated and drawn to them none the less. My fave brother Grimms is a haunting morality tale called Godfather Death. I highly recommend that short story for the ending is pure perfection.
I found this quite interesting; besides being sweet and tender, the twins must have had has some competitiveness between them; Usually identical twins have unique personalities and there is some marking on them to be able to tell them apart; I know of one set of twins that are laterally stuck together, meaning that they dress alike and once can't be without the other. ' definitely a union....I love the way you composed this tale, your usual excellent wordage.

As much as they look similar there are differences in them. I'm an uncle of such a brood of boys. The differences are very slight and subtle. One is left handed, while the other has a very tiny mole on the back of the neck. One is very sensitive while the other aggressive and antagonistic. Yet so many times they have fooled many other except me. I refuse to call them by their names instead naming them monster 1 and 2. I get along with monster 1 fine because I'm also left handed, but it's monster 2 that is a challenge. Lol.

If I can say something worth saying that makes just one person think about others...I'll try. The greatest storyteller was my grandmother. I miss her stories. Also, I would like to add to please pay.. more..
