Carlos this was a wonderful grouping of three Haiku. Each full of wisdom and poetic beauty but all three togeather seemed so Taoist. I felt that I was reading the Tao Te Ching. Well done my friend.

To the eye haiku may appear easy to write but they really are complex especially when trying to create a coherent message or idea based on wisdom. Writing these felt like piecing together puzzles. It was a slow process that took a few weeks. But in the end felt very rewarding once completed. I appreciate you taking the time to read and share your thoughts with me on these writings. Thank you so much.
I really like all 3 but that

the tears always linger no matter
how much time passes..a great
trio of haiku/ senryu.. Well done

I used to believe falsely that haiku were easy to write. They really are not. It takes a lot of patience and dedication to create them. As well as a sense of profound wisdom. I'm still learning my craft though. I hope before I draw my last breath I'm able to write a perfect one. CLE

I love these Haikus!! all of them are to be reckoned with. They say so much in so few words, I especially like WISDOM....yes love does require sacrifice and that's a good thing. It's more difficult to develop, but worth all of it. I also liked Mourning... it hard to mourn without tears; they just become alive and flow like a stream, no stopping them. Nice Work!!!
Best, B
P.S. Back from Azores and Portugal!! Great trip!

Wisdom is my fave out of the three because it speaks to my mantra on life. The road most difficult to travel in life is the most fulfilling in experience and wisdom. Who learn who we truly are from the harder path. And who we truly are meant to be. Looking forward to reading the art your trip has inspired. Thank you so much again. CLE

Thank you!!! And you're very welcome dear poet!

love how we were able to fit so much sentiment into such small pieces of writing. my favorite part was probably "wisdom", so so beautiful (and true).

The one on wisdom is my favorite as well because of its absolute truth. To choose the path of love is difficult because it requires sacrifice and change. But the road taken is filled with obstacles that are gifts of wisdom. When one looks back at the hard road they have traveled they see all the lessons learned that made them who they are. Thank you again for sharing your comment with me.
Excellent. You fit a lot into all three here Carlos. So much so, I admit to double checking the syllable count, just in case you sneaked a few more in while no one was looking. 😊
I think the whole point of Haiku and senryu is to fit as much as possible into them, with no waste. You have done so admirably. 😊

It is such a challenging and yet enjoyable art form. It is like putting together a puzzle that has profound clarity in its message. I worked on these the past couple of months because more than anything the messages had to mean something to me. I kept removing words, adding them, and changing them again to meet the syllable count as well as message over all. It is such a fun exercise in writing and would recommend it to those that might have writing block. These kept me occupied for quite a few days. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on them. I really appreciate it. CLE
If I can say something worth saying that makes just one person think about others...I'll try. The greatest storyteller was my grandmother. I miss her stories. Also, I would like to add to please pay.. more..
