3 Haiku

3 Haiku

A Poem by Carlos Lorenzo Estrada
"

The beauty of haiku is the wisdom it provides in its short impactful form of poetic artistry.

Wisdom

To hate is easy

While love demands sacrifice

Choose the harder path

Truth

Truth is like a sword

Sharply uncompromising

Lethal toward deceit

Mourning

Remember to grieve

For love loss demands our tears

Like rain to winter

Carlos this was a wonderful grouping of three Haiku. Each full of wisdom and poetic beauty but all three togeather seemed so Taoist. I felt that I was reading the Tao Te Ching. Well done my friend.

I love all three of the Haiku's.

They are very profound, and well expressed.

I love these Haikus!! all of them are to be reckoned with. They say so much in so few words, I especially like WISDOM....yes love does require sacrifice and that's a good thing. It's more difficult to develop, but worth all of it. I also liked Mourning... it hard to mourn without tears; they just become alive and flow like a stream, no stopping them. Nice Work!!!

love how we were able to fit so much sentiment into such small pieces of writing. my favorite part was probably "wisdom", so so beautiful (and true).

Excellent. You fit a lot into all three here Carlos. So much so, I admit to double checking the syllable count, just in case you sneaked a few more in while no one was looking. 😊
I think the whole point of Haiku and senryu is to fit as much as possible into them, with no waste. You have done so admirably. 😊
