I tried to call my muse Cate for some advice but found I didn't have her number. Since she really isn't real I attempted to reach her by Astral plane telepathy. Not knowing how it actually worked I found I may have contacted a devil instead. I asked said devil, who goes by uncle Rudy, if he had any sage advice. He said "Yeah, bro, make sure you burn all the evidence. " I was left unsure how truly profound that advice may have been until perusing my porn collection and figuring out hey maybe he was onto something wise after all. It was then that my muse called me, which was surprising because I don't remember giving her my number. She told me she was in a heavy make out session with both Plato and Socrates and to write these words down. I found it a bit difficult because of all the moaning through the phone, mostly from me out of jealousy, but I think I got the gist of the message. Feel free to leave thoughts or comments. Even if you want to troll I'm Kool with that. Thank you and may the swartz be with you.

Simple truths are not always easy to find in these days of "fake news" and state controlled media (in Russia, for example). We can usually find the truth if we dig deep enough, but so many people are willing to believe far-fetched conspiracy theories these days than accept a simple truth. A fascinating write - and author's comment!

I am a firm believer that knowledge is power, but like any great resource it must be mined and searched for. Silence and indifference only enables pernicious falsity and disingenuous beliefs. It takes a good deal of work to be curious and search for the truth. But that is the difference between those that follow vs those that lead. Thank you kindly again.
propagandist... Not sure what this word means, but this is a deep emotional read, so well expressed.

I love the writing art form because it can do exactly what you stated. Elicit deep emotions from the reader on so many varied subjects. We can write about love, hope, faith, hate, nature, and so many other things in life in order to inspire and make others feel for the words that we write. A hopeful writer challenges the reader to feel these things in life. But a propagandist wants you to believe their worldview is the only truth you need to put your faith in. Regardless of the amorality that defines it. They will use lies and bend the truth to their will in order to get others to believe in what they say. A propagandist doesn't care about truth because it is an obstacle for them to overcome in order to brainwash another into their ideology. History has seen many propagandist in its time. In order to counter such hateful rhetoric the world needs more artistic writers like yourself to spread hope and love. Thank you again for your kind comment on this poem.
Carlos I liked your comment as much as the poem. It does read very well and contains some pearls good job

I wanted to speak to the value of truthfulness, because we as a society are struggling with this subject. I feel if we can't agree on actual proven fact as a basis in defining truth than we are in trouble as a country. Our justice system is reliant on fact based truth. Without it civility does not exist, for law and order are a requisite needed to set standards of equity. We need to have hard discussions on these matters or else we will continue to tear apart the fabric of our nation. There is a segment here in the United States that refuses to accept history past as truth. They obfuscate and feign ignorance when discussions of inequality are mentioned. It is always the same exhaustive response about who cares because it happened many years ago. But they fail to realize it does still matter because those past actions still resonate in today's society. As we continue to see within our country that hate is generational. We will continue to voice our opposition in order to have an honest truthful discussion, because only than can we actually heal and seek actual resolution. Thank you again my friend for your thoughts on this poem.
Talking heads spewing alternative facts. Blind faith that what they read on the internet is truth. Your poem is good, and illuminating! The philosophers can only get our attention by cloaking the truth in pornography. This is an intense poem Carlos. Glad to read you again.

This poem has such a huge message that I debated whether I had met the ideals it sought to speak to. Through the advancement of technology we are bombarded by information which is at our fingertips within seconds. Yet despite this great achievement there are those who use it for pernicious vile reasons. To sway the hearts and minds of those too incurious to research and learn about the information they consume and whether it is from a truthful source, or merely propaganda. I always say ignorance is a choice, because there is no excuse to educate one's mind to facts that are easy to research in this day and age. I feel it speaks to the character of someone who fails to live up to the ethical judgement of integrity when the prefer to be indifferent toward the plight of others by choosing ignorance and hateful rhetoric as their source of morality. Such simple minds are pliable by those of malicious intent and devious intellect. When I absorb the news now a days I research multiple sources before deciding the validity of the information. I am adverse to the idea of being manipulated by a single source. The truth really matters to me. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me on this piece. It is greatly appreciated.

Conspiracy may account for the action of a crime but in the end what is incontrovertible is that only one pulled the trigger. Though many may be responsible. Much like the brutal barbaric murder of George Floyd. Depending on the political lens in which one may view the world, some may see the killing as justified. I on the other hand as a empathetic humanist and minority do not see it so. Both sides may hold their biases and ethics differently, but what we all saw on video is undeniable as one man responsible for another's death. To what level that is where our biases enter the equation. And truth becomes diverse. It is these conversations on truth that we as a society need to have discussions on. Along with other very vital issues as well, which are intricately linked together. Thank you my friend for this insightful conversation.
I love this poem....and I often wonder if we really need logic...
I feel blind faith can be comforting as long as we don't end up seeing a truth that disturbs into
insanity.

You have given me much to ruminate upon. There is a comfort within the ideal of blind faith we humans innately are drawn toward. Because inherently we are aware we don't have the answers to everything within our universe and existence. Science is the art of ever changing hypothesis defined by trial and error, while blind faith is rigidly static in belief. But because of its singular concept that doesn't challenge the mind with chaotic evolution faith in its simplicity captivates our primitive mind because it lacks complexity. It never asks us to go beyond blind faith itself, or its embodiment. We are born into the ideals of these two opposing concepts that are needed to balance our minds. To challenge us and entice our moral character in ways that have us choosing which best exemplifies the idioms that reflect our true nature. Logic seeks answers, while blind faith needs none. As creatives I feel we tend to stand between these two dichotomies. Art has an ephemeral nature to it. But it take the intelligent mind of an apt composer to decipher and channel it into coherence. To understand empathy and draw art from it takes genius. To create a poem that has multiple layers which speak to the reader in many different ways takes intelligence and an understanding of the human condition. I admire both logic and blind faith equally. I would like to know the answers to why art may be sublime, but take satisfaction in just the beauty that I may never know. I guess in my blind faith I'm gifted with hope. I apologize for the long rambling response my friend. Your comment struck a chord in me that really asks such a powerful question indeed. What do I hold more value for? Logic or blind faith? My writer's heart says I can't live without either. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me on this piece J. As always I truly appreciate it.
This is a very timely piece, given the glut of misinformation the airwaves are currently awash in. You are very right about the cunning of propagandists, and with the electronic media at their disposal, they are able to beguile millions. Putin has 83% of Russia believing he's the good guy.

The facts you share should alarm us here more, yet I find a few within our society are easily swayed towards propaganda. As one insidious editorial mouthpiece from a particular news outlet who loves to ask questions, yet never seems to answer their obvious truth because they run counter to the narrative he is spinning disingenuously toward his audience. Those who lack the curiosity to educate themselves on facts are easy to manipulate into a false ideology. Nothing chills me more to the core than to know that quite a few within our society get there news from social media. Whenever I think about this subject I'm always reminded of George Orwell's prophetic book Animal Farm. Where a lie said over and over can eventually turn it into an ideological mantra of decietful carnage. Such things lead to the end of a civilized society. Thank you again as always my friend.
Hello, Carlos! :)
This is an interesting collection of words. My mind found it a bit chewy for a Monday evening read, so I shall retreat for now, and try again between this weekend’s stuff.
