This is such a softly beautiful poem, and I love the word usage here. And a brilliant concept. Not to mention it's an incredibly honest poem and I can feel the passion intensely in each word. This captures life in such a brilliant beautiful way. I love the line, 'Man's pride if folly.' Thank you so much for sharing this piece of wisdom- brilliant!

Meaningful Senyru… my take is that men’ pride lacks good sense, I guess good judgement too, while women are definitely superior in this sense.they have the ultimate judgement. Maybe that’s why they are attracted to each other…men’s self esteem seems to be more fragile than women’s. Your words speak the truth and each one is so relevant and important.

Nature can be soft and gentle and all powerful. We humans are insignificant in the overall picture. Nature can eat us alive if she so chooses. We should never lose sight of how destructive she can be. And those words could also describe the moods of a woman. Thank you Carlos for an excellent senryu. Hope all is well with you in your world.

The message here reminds me that one day she will just swallow us whole like nothing. There is a softness in the voice of the writer that i hear as hopeful.

Man's folly is not realising that all the littlest things that make up a life were based on a folly to begin with, and that's me speaking as one of those man type thing's to begin with.
We, and by we I mean me, seem to think that life is a battle we must win and own and it is only when life begins to slow down that we see that we are so far from where we should be, because we were taught to learn others mistakes.
Nature must see us like a dog sees fleas, an irritant to be scratched, and she will have the last laugh.
An excellent example of short form poetry, that says much more for being so concise.
