This is such a softly beautiful poem, and I love the word usage here. And a brilliant concept. Not to mention it's an incredibly honest poem and I can feel the passion intensely in each word. This captures life in such a brilliant beautiful way. I love the line, 'Man's pride if folly.' Thank you so much for sharing this piece of wisdom- brilliant!

Meaningful Senyru… my take is that men’ pride lacks good sense, I guess good judgement too, while women are definitely superior in this sense.they have the ultimate judgement. Maybe that’s why they are attracted to each other…men’s self esteem seems to be more fragile than women’s. Your words speak the truth and each one is so relevant and important.

As a child back in the 70s and early 80s I often wondered why we named powerful storms by female names, or our cars female, or referred to nature as she. And yet the greatest creator in mankind's mind is a He. Women give life to men, nurture them, and love them. Sounds like God is more a woman than a man to me. In the vastness of her universe we are in awe of her beauty. Thank you again B.
Nature can be soft and gentle and all powerful. We humans are insignificant in the overall picture. Nature can eat us alive if she so chooses. We should never lose sight of how destructive she can be. And those words could also describe the moods of a woman. Thank you Carlos for an excellent senryu. Hope all is well with you in your world.

Men like to believe we are the center of the universe but we all know that's not true at all. Women reflect nature because through them life exists, all we can do as men is make a mess. There is a reason she's called Mother Nature. I so enjoyed writing this work because it's a reminder of all the strong Women I have ever known in my life and who have influenced my writing. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and friendship.

The message here reminds me that one day she will just swallow us whole like nothing. There is a softness in the voice of the writer that i hear as hopeful.

I indeed am hopeful we will be better stewards to this beautiful blue orb, and come to respect the power of nature and her anger if we don't. It just take a little sacrifice on all of us to have a better world. One that is definitely worth fighting for.
Man's folly is not realising that all the littlest things that make up a life were based on a folly to begin with, and that's me speaking as one of those man type thing's to begin with.
We, and by we I mean me, seem to think that life is a battle we must win and own and it is only when life begins to slow down that we see that we are so far from where we should be, because we were taught to learn others mistakes.
Nature must see us like a dog sees fleas, an irritant to be scratched, and she will have the last laugh.
An excellent example of short form poetry, that says much more for being so concise.

You are absolutely correct. Nature has a way of humbling us all. This world doesn't need us to thrive it will find a way with or without and evolve as well as adapt. We on the other hand need it more than it ever will need us. Thank you so much for your thoughts on this poem. I appreciate it.
Perhaps man's folly has caused nature's recent willful actions.

We are in flames near these parts and all that smoke is probably heading east where it will mix with the weather over there. I just hope my town doesn't burn to the ground like the one 90 miles to the east did a couple years back. These are crazy times my friend.
