I decided in this work to write about something I know nothing about, Love. As old as I am I still haven't quite figured out this damn emotion at all. And probably never will.

Ah, back to the old poet tropes and adage. Please take this as warning. This by no means should ever be considered advice, nothing can replace actual living and heartbreak. So go out there youngsters and get broke, or break, which ever you choose just don't blame me for the consequences. That's all on you, buddy. Feel free to comment, troll, or leave profound pearls of wisdom. But be warned I heard em all, so you won't impress me, much like this poem haha.

This poem has good advice...love like there is no tomorrow because there might not be.
I don't regret any relationship I have been in....all those loves taught me something.
Of course, I am still trying to figure out if I really learned anything at all.

I too have no regrets and have learned so much from my past loves. They made my art better, and me as well. And even now in my middle age I'm still learning to love. Thank you my friend for your thoughts on this subject that still holds mystery to me.
A poem of beauty to be sure! My 26 years give me little to nothing wise to say on the matter of love, all I can say is I very much enjoyed reading this. x

Even at 55 when it comes to love I truly no nothing of this mysterious emotion. I aspire and hope to know the heart of another, but the ways of love always have a way of humbling me. And in the end I am probably the worst person to ever come to for relationship advice. So don't let this poem fool you because we both are in the same boat haha. Thank you so much my friend for the kind words and thoughts on this work.

Sometimes infatuation and love is something you can't control... it consumes you; There is no rule really, but give and take equally is definitely a goal; but not so easy. If two are meant for each other (and how is that determined?) I say let it be, let your passion entwine, and hopefully complications will work themselves out. wonderful write Carlos

There are no rules to love and war, except the rules we make for ourselves. Love is such a difficult subject to broach for it truly is a complex and individual self defining experience. We all love differently. The only unifying idea we can gain is Hope. The hope that we are loved equally in return. I agree with your thoughts on let it be. Love like it is the last thing you will ever feel. Love..to remember. Love does make beautiful art. Thank you so much again for your words.

I find a lot of truth in this. There is always a learning curve when it comes to relationships. Of that I'm sure. But jumping in all the way is never a wise decision.

Yes I would definitely agree with your statement. It's like jumping into a deep pool of water before learning to swim. Just not a very wise or advisable action. I enjoyed writing this sugary cute piece for it almost had a bit of a Dr. Seuss vibe to its scheme. A wise yet innocent perspective on love. Thank you again for your words.
If I can say something worth saying that makes just one person think about others...I'll try. The greatest storyteller was my grandmother. I miss her stories. Also, I would like to add to please pay.. more..
