You told me a secret, and now it's my turn. When we are hurt, we think that our lives don't have a meaning anymore, and that's a lie we tell ourselves. It's like a storm after hot summer days, but at the end of the day, the sky is free from the grey clouds. The sun appears, and its warmth covers our bodies again. Everything has a start and an end.
"The depths of pain forlorn I bleed by memories I'm consumed
This fall from grace I find myself no cross that I should bare
To give myself too willingly to one who doesn't care"
I loved these words which for me are the essence of your poems. *Bianca

Recently a good friend of mine was going through a difficult break up in her marriage and asked for advice. This poem was born from that moment. Because it made me reflect on how love in the past has impacted my life. It brought me face to face with my imperfections and mistakes as well as scars from love itself. When we love hard it changes us. We vow that we will not let heartache into our life again nor influence who we are. But it is a futile promise we make because we can not control the way someone chooses to love us. We can only control the way we choose to love and hope it is returned in kind. And there are times we love out of spite and cause the same heartache done to us, but we do unto others. We aspire to love because in doing so we become better human beings and reach our better angels. At times it takes a lot of failures to reach that goal. To simply love our best. And become liberated in that moment of perfect love. This poem can have different meanings for the reader which I accept. To me it reflects that rising from the ashes of the broken hearted to reach our perfect nature of love. To redeem our souls from the scars both given and received from love to reach our perfect nature. Thank you for sharing how this poem makes you feel it means a lot to me. Especially hearing from other artists whose work I also admire such as yours.

Your comment is amazing and everyone can see that you put all of your passion when it comes to writing. It's like a breath of fresh air, and that's why so many people appreciate your words. Sometimes what we want doesn't work how we want, but there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. Believe me and I hope she'll be fine because I do not doubt that she isn't a powerful woman. She needs to stay strong and move on. Thank you too!
You expressed the age-old theme of a broken heart so elegantly and originally. I think that it is true, when it comes down to it, we ultimately fall because of love.

Writing this really asked of me to reflect on past heartache. We write what we know and thecthings we are familiar with. The hardest part of heartbreak is not allowing it to change you into becoming the thing you despise, or the same as the people who hurt you. It is an arduous journey to healing and returning to self. But in the end we do one a piece of ourselves we may never get back. And it is in hope that we seek to find a better love to fill the empty spaces. Thank you again for your thoughts.
You very well quoted Mahatma Ghandi and you brought out the heartache that people truly face, thank you very much for sharing

He truly was one of the greatest human beings to ever walk this earth. I wish I could love like him. I am happy that this writing stirred thought in your heart and that you left a comment on this work. I find writing about heartbreak is difficult because one must contemplate their own past experiences with this powerful emotion. I am happy how this poem came to life but it is also very difficult to read. Thank you again for your thoughts.

You are absolutely correct on your assessment. I think it comes from a heart that has loved a few times and known the deepest scars that are left behind from the aftermath. Though they are meant to signify growth of a heart they are simply reminders of our failed attempts at love. Some may find strength in scars while others wallow in them. But for many we live in the middle of both because we are stronger for them and will never ever forget them. It's simply how we love. Thank you so much again my friend.

A beautiful rendering of love verses Carlos and its impact on our health and well being. You are waxing poetical and with empathy towards the heartbroken. I like your way of expressing your train of thought.

This poem was a bit tougher to write because it was some what personal. I was helping a close female friend going through a difficult break up. I'm not usually any good at love advice especially the heartbroken kind. Trying to help her made me self reflect on the nature of love itself on a personal level and this poem came from that. Thank you so much my friend for leaving your thoughts on this poem.
Pain, regret, anguish, attachment be the unwanted siblings of that complicated affair we humans call love. Very well depicted. Love those words u so deftly use.

This written piece is my biased view on love and all the scars and wounds from it. I honestly feel I should by no means be dispensing love advice to anyone because I'm a writer and our perspective will always be biased. I can describe how it has impacted my life and made me who I am but it is only a singular view point that differs from others. Love much like life is an individual journey we take fraught with mistakes regrets hope and aspirations. We aspire to love because it is our better nature. Our higher ideal of who we are meant to be as human beings.

And taking in consideration the whole fact such pinpoint take of a subjet can be seen as biased, yes. Yet this pinpoint is also a part of the wohole so it is true. In that way all of our experiences are true and if as writters we choose to voice them... well it is up to us wether we make it just personal sharing or an attempt to universality. The controversy about saying or writing something out our experiences is deep, for me... we (poets and writers) are the words burning in darkness, the bell´s toll amids silence. we are needed not just for us but also for those whom facing our views can relate to or oppose them but nonetheless be aware of that which previously laid in shadows and unrecognized. well that is my point of view at least :D

It was a reflective piece in trying to understand all the cumulative knowledge attained from love and understanding its impact on my growth from it. It's difficult to give love advice to others who are in heartbreak. My perspective is my own and vastly deviates from others, as their experiences differ from mine. I could only convey how love and its scars have impacted my life and views. Like life itself it is an individual journey one experiences that shapes them into who they become as loving creatures. Love defines our greater nature.
Beautiful nature
can be a vacation
away from the loud
world And pains of life .
I saw a blissful cloud retreating
through the storm
Throwing a scarf of rainbows over her shoulders
and glowing neck
looking back at me with a impish smile
Passing from my sight

This was born from recently helping a friend who is going through a difficult break up. She was struggling to understand why she was treated the way she was, and it was difficult to try to give her reasons or a good enough explanation that would comfort her. This poem was born from that moment.
