WHAT

WHAT

A Story by Lorraine Ciro
"

A hostess anticipating the amount of food her guests are going to eat.

"
WHAT!!
Saying “I’m full already” after the appetizers are served is not something
I want to hear.
It makes me crazy. There are several more courses to come and none of them
are crackers and a glass of water.
I have cooked all day, used a liter of olive oil, made gallons of sauce, meatballs,
and a rib roast, not to mention all of the side dishes and dessert.
“You’re full? I don’t think so.”

This piece put me in the mindset of a hostess and how they must feel when they see all there hard work of slogging over a stove and making the food just right for the guests - for some of it to go to waste must piss them off a bit.

I like this little piece as it really did make me think about the cooks of the world.

Mark.
