My Trigger

My Trigger

A Poem by John G. Forrester Jr.
"

Something useful to the masses if they ever would like to understand me.

"
the home of a life rest in the body of a child
sight seen and not heard from a distance at the peak
once told and twice repeat
long for a temperament of peace

a shadow of hardship walking into another beginning of the week
can i live or may I treat myself to an ice cream cone from a thief
the size of eyes looking through the soul of a intellectual being
lost forever in the world of my dreams

sleeping all day just to wake and be late
a fall from a tree cuts the knee
open to love in the window of my jeep
a bug put into the air will never come back cheap

as the throne gets heavier my will retains the weight
having a thought may locate a memory so unique
tripping from uneven ground changing the beat
well off doesn’t mean i do not need

a play on words is just a play with words underneath
a women crying for her youngest child may always speak
the true meaning of an emotion that tends to linger in the breeze
join the vibe of many like us and jump into action with the fleet
