Pool of Sick

Pool of Sick

A Poem by raven glassbone
"

This is what I want to say to you. You will not like this one bit.

"

I’m berated for the same mistakes you make.

I should quit smoking yet it is too late for you to quit.

Tell me to grow up while you I am still a child in your eyes.

I cannot stay here forever but I can only leave on your terms.

Give me my own space though it is really your space I am occupying.

Your disgust of me is spoken louder than your pride in me is spoken.

I can be anything I want to be except everything you don’t want me to be.

You know more about the nightlife than I do yet I’ve spent more time there than you have.

I once flew, you clipped my wings…for my own safety.

Seeing as this is based off of my life, I put this in the 'Biography & Memoir' genre because of the choices of genre to put this submission in I honestly don't know how to classify this poem as such...
