Broken Mirror Mirror

Broken Mirror Mirror

A Poem by Lord of mad men

I see a weak broken dark figure stand before me

With a twisted smile that chills my very bones

This smile slowly fades showing the pain the lurks behind

This pain is only shown one other way

This pain lurks beneath the figures cold dark almost lifeless eyes

As I fix my gaze upon this figure

I see is dark form appear to change

Its skin grew pale and sickly

Its form shrank to be small and thin

Its face was sunken and darken around its cold hollow dead eyes

The pain that once lurked there was overshadowed by something unknown

Something far darker something no peace could ever be found in

A darkness that no light has been able to pierce

A darkness very familiar to me
