AdventureA Poem by Kay SMy life is constant longing, To be less, to be more, To have her, to belong.
A life of wishful thinking, One of action, one of pace, One of endless free abandon, Is the state I want to face. The world at my fingertips, My dreams idealised whole...
It’s not to say the life I lead, The life I leads not free. It’s not the rules that bind me, But my mind says I’m not free. I sit around in silence With the world revolving round, But the life I live is not my love There must be more to try.
Come rescue me! Come rescue me! Come rescue me from me! My sadness shall no more be found, My boredom I despise. I’m not depressed, I’m not too sad, I’m just dissatisfied. My lot in life is not one which I should be displeased by, But nev’theless I need a push To show me life’s alive. © 2014 Kay SAuthor's Note
