In my Inadequacy.A Poem by Kay S
I stay in my box.
My unoriginal inadequate box, Whilst I long to be free... To live with excitement, Adventure and glee. Not safe in that box Content but not free, To love with such passion The sun will stand still, And the old words of the old world will die at my foot. Not Byron, Rossetti, Nor Auden or Frost, None will live up to the one I have not. And the depth and the breadth and the height Of my plagiarised love is all that I have. Nothing more, nothing less. Love so intense It cannot be described, But I'll try anyway With my words, I will try. Scribbling endlessly reams Til these words pass me by, And I'm left with just love, Unoriginal love. But my love, I will try. © 2014 Kay SAuthor's Note
