MeaninglessA Poem by BrianIn a world as fucked up as ours, I don't understand why people try to live as long as possible. Human life is insignificant to world so we destroy it to make an impact.A forest grows deep within the heart, Spreading its roots and planting its seed. We chop away with vicious ax, When watching the forest outside us bleed. A surreal epiphany consumes my mind. Not for long does such a moment last. Lingering only for a possibility of knowing,But fades quickly with the history's past. And now faced with an existence dilemma We are all but tears in the rain Struggling to build, fight, f**k and conquer But none of it shall remain © 2014 Brian |
