NatureA Poem by BrianAttempting to write a poem about how insignificant humans are to the history of the earth and how nature has been a part of the world since its beginning.Lying down with my back to the sky One cricket chirps while another one dies
Pitch black darkness Except for the white stars shining through The ambient wind brushes against the trees Creating a wave of life amoung the stillness
I can feel the earth Pushing on my head, back, and legs There is a kind of serenity in nature Everything is peaceful
I seem to be frozen in time Moments do not pass There are no deadlines to be met Everything is peaceful
My conscienceness flows From my body to the soil From the soil to the grass And from the grass, back up through my spine
Lying down with my back to the sky One cricket chirps while another one dies Life still goes on. © 2012 BrianAuthor's Note
