To What EndA Poem by Phantom Heart
Here I sit and stare
As if inadvertently unaware The foreteller laughs In the midst of improbable must As I am burdened with exhausted lust Suffering in the eyes of the fates Opens up the doorway at Heaven's Gates Alas, the provocative illusion Of life's profane confusion To find the equilibrium of love not lost Of the truth at Humanity's cost Life is pleated in shades of grey Tomorrow is a better yesterday
