God's Will

My heart is broken

For ten long years

I don't understand

Why you're not here

You left me here all alone

And never said a word

I miss you like Hell

And find no peace on earth

Why did you leave?

Did you not love me anymore?

I've searched for the answers

And even knocked on Heavens door

I miss you so much

And feel like I can't be whole

I live with a broken heart

And one empty soul

I can't wait to see you again

But I know that I must

Life is so unfair

Your death so unjust

I miss you dad

And I know I always will

There's nothing I can do

I guess it's just God's Will

This poem was written for my father who passed away 10 years ago this November

I am so sorry for your loss, no matter how long or how short the loss of a loved one leaves scars but know they are always with us and your dad I am sure would be so proud! I loved the name of this poem the read was so great!!
