Not Ours

Not Ours

A Poem by NOBODY

Can you hear it?
The burnt trees weeping
Animals being ripped apart, piece by piece
People sleeping,
however not in peace
Voices constantly stolen from the innocent
Rights taken away to reduce justice

The world's already torn to shreds
The cries of children whom did nothing wrong
Bombs on a daily basis
Gunshots heard in every neighborhood across the world
Sensitive political leaders taking things too hard

You can't, right?
You're blinded by society
Our selfish greediness kills
How could we not know?

How long will it take for people to realize,
The worlds' not ours to destroy
People aren't chess pieces you can toy with

The Suns' not shining anymore
Dark, grey clouds started to take over
Sea levels rising
Artificial lights being used
Raging thunderstorms unleashing it's wrath
Scarce resources,
All because we use everything for the stupidest reasons
Species on a brink of extinction

What do you think you're doing?
How dare you destroy every efforts put in by our heroes whom risked their lives  for
Its such a shame,
The world used to be beautiful
Sadly, history's repeating itself
The after results will all end the same
Innocent souls will be forsaken
All we can do is watch the world perish
