poetic license

A Poem by Alicia

i’m too cool for
capitalization
much less the use of
punctuation

without them
everything is finally
equal

i
am no more important than anyone else
so why should
i
tower above her fellow letters

and punctuation leaves no room for interpretation
daring to show ownership
instead of a constant flow of words

i’m too cool for
capitalization
much less the use of
punctuation

everything is perfectly
balanced
the way it should be
