Clock on the wall

Clock on the wall

A Poem by Vic

I sit and shoot you a glance

Your numbers stay firm as your hands dance

You tell what must come

You tell what has gone

Memories from years and years ago

The pain and the despair

But you move despite the woe

And those who didn't care

When it was time to go

Time is always there

It won't leave you alone

I sit and shoot you a glance

your numbers, firm as your hands dance

You dance throughout all that we can see

You dance through pain

You dance through glee.

I sit and wonder where it all goes

Where do you put it?

All of the woe

All of the smiles

All of the tears

Where do they go?

Throughout the years

Time is what me make of it lass. If you haven't seen it, you should, a funny little movie called, "The Phantom Tollbooth."

They have an excellent explanation of TIME in there and how to use it wisely. Time can only be given once in our lifetimes - so choose well how you decide to spend it. :)

Nicely written POEM, BTW - reminds me strongly of the lyrics in Frank Sinatra's, "It was a very good year."

I still get very melancholic when I hear this cause - I think somehow I'm caught deeply in the gears of the meaning, unable to free myself or entirely comprehend it's bittersweet content and context.

I believe and still do - somehow - I will live forever. Death will only come if I call to her, and while I may have knocked on her door once or twice in my 20s and she has grazed me with a subtle kiss - I stay away today.
