Disappear

Disappear

A Poem by Lauren Burch
"

Collaboration with Jonathan Bodnar He wrote the first half I worte the second

"

My wings feel cold as they are pressed against a cold dark wall
My eyelids heavy as they strain to open
I feel cold chains all around me
Embracing me, pulling me into the wall
Opening my eyes I see you
Lying there with your wings spread across the cold damp floor
Blood rolling down your cheek
I see your eyes, closed and lifeless

"Forgive me, my dear, I have failed my purpose
As it lays there in front of me
I cannot live with myself after this
Forgive me as I didnt know the consequences
I didn't know it would be my fualt
I caused your blood to spill with sorrow
I will give my wings to you
Just look at me one more time with that familair air
Say you miss me
Say you love me"

first half is basically a train of thought while the second half is theoretically said out loud.
