Foggy Dream

Foggy Dream

A Poem by Lauren Burch
"

The heart is not the center of our love. It's the eye.

"

The reflections dance across your eyes
Figures twisting and turning
I watch so intently
My fingers gliding across your cheek
I can’t look away
Smitten by your dreams
Living your dreams
Captured by your gaze
I can never look away
I don’t want to
You’re too perfect
To lose you to my reflection
A simple mirage
Gliding under your eyelashes
The windows fog
I can’t see beyond the cage
Beyond the condensed cloud
Your eyes are the only left
Saving me
Pulling me to you
Closer to your eyes
With your sweet, sweet touch
I’m here again
Back from a dream
Your eyes are still here
If I am your prisoner
Look to me, my captor
You free me from these chains

we have all had that sort of feeling about someone and were unnoticed. I really liked this and the rhythm of it. there is at least one error that stops the readers flow
"Your eyes are the only left" I'm sure u meant to add 'things'. over all great poem.
