Question

A Poem by Lauren Burch
"

Question to a loved one not loving back.

"

If I could chase away the monsters

Held your hand close to my heart

Would you ever feel safe?

Would you love me then?

If I could take you to the moon

And show you my favorite place among the stars

Would you want to stay there forever?

Would you love me then?

If I could wake you from your blindness

And show you the world through my eyes

Would you be any freer?

Would you love me then?

If I could abolish all of this drama

Make the moon shine like the sun

Pull you into my dreams

To fly among the angels

Be part of our perfect sunset

Though the sun is rising in your eyes

Would you want to dream with me?

Would you love me then?

this poem is amazing. the questions are great because i can really relate and I am sure so many people can, to the things we would allow ourselves to do just to get someone to be in our lives. It sounds like this person loves you but can not be with you out of fear? I am actually going through that situation right now so this piece really hit home for me. But what it said loud and clear, is look at all this wonderful, extreme things I would do, and you are still not guaranteed that person's best self. Amazing! Great write! anything that provokes that kind of thought and is not afraid to ask questions, i think is great.

peace,
Danielle

This is a sad poem in that the desire for the other person's love, and the pain of not having it is quite obvious, but, I really liked it. It is carefully thought out and beautifully presented.
Welcome to the Cafe. I really like your style.

you poetry is soo dark but you make it very interesting I dont really see that very often I find most dark poetry boring and whiny but you put in just the right amount of dark emotion to keep it from being boring good job
