My desire

My desire

A Poem by oscar

If I could, I would dance with you forever
I'd take your hand and twirl you across frozen land
Your path would scorch all that stands in the way
Your eyes would light everything that is void
And I'd gaze in astonishment
At the beauty you bestow

If I could, I would invite you into my home
I'd lay your head upon my soul and let you hear
Your ears would listen to the rhythmic pulses
Your heart would feel shockwaves of passion
And you'd reel back in ecstasy
At the mind numbing shattering

If I could, I would decorate your mind
I'd shower your thoughts with wreathes of experience
Your perception would expand, upon shared memories
Your life would grow with nurturing soil
And we'd hold each other in savoring
At the garden we created

If I could, I'd fall asleep next to you
I'd let you know that I'll be there to hold your hand
Your mind would be at peace
Your heartbeat would come to a still
And we'd sleep forever once again
At the thought of waking up once more
