Remind Me of a TimeA Poem by loading...Remind me of a time when i thought the world was coldRemind me of a time when I thought the world was cold I can barely remember the gelid touch of apathy Sitting in the closet’s gloom Writing my endless tirades on the pink wall in dark black The ranting never ceased to stay But I’d rather live now Than in a time when I thought the world was cold Remind me of a time when I thought the world was bold To put me in positions that I’d always jump to hate When the final outcome was just another live and learn Or something I might yearn to repeat But I’d rather live now Than in a time when I thought the world was cold Remind me of a time when I thought the world was white Just an empty canvas up for grabs A simple blank page to scrawl my thoughts upon A tube of paint to weave my life Something to step back and admire from afar When all the lies were said and done But I’d rather live now Than in a time when I thought the world was cold Remind me of a time when the world begun to wilt The fruitful trees starting to rot Decay a formidable enemy Of a time I cherish so prominently When everything is gone so soon The best left to soured memories Which in time will always fade away I’d rather live in a time when I thought the world was cold © 2012 loading...Author's Note
