Funny that when

you say

"I'll be right back."

you never are.

Funny how the

words echo through

the tree tops

and from

room to room.

You say we

were meant to be,

but it kills you

to wait for me.

In time these

words will mean

nothing to me.

Funny that when

you look at me

you don't say

what you mean

and say what

you think I

need to hear.

Words are just

meanings and sentences,

but your eyes

show more than

you will ever know.

Funny you dare

to dream of

what could have been

instead of what we

could be now.

Please wait for me.

Time is patient

and there isn't

a lot of it.

I just want

you to know

I will forever

love you till

the ink in

this poem fades.

And if it shall

ever disappear

know this one thing,

Ink fades over

time so does love

But as long

as we have each

other we will

always know that

the love is real.
