I Write My Own Sad SongA Poem by lleeWhat do they know about where I go.I Write my Own
Sad Song Sent back to the wilderness, pride and the fall, my eyes only focus on the pointed finger stern articulation from shoulder to nail, 180 degrees from my hopes and dreams, it demands, loneliness my old friend, I return.
What do they know. what do they know about where I go do they really care where we go, what do they know about where I go.
Head down, measured steps I see, for days and months I don't remember, the pain masks the journey I take inside of me. People, jobs and time, come and go blinded by the pain, hollow eyes and from the fall and the
pride.
What do they know. what do they know about where I go do they really care where we go, what do they know about where I go.
Working out the frustration of loss in my life, hours in the gym and singing melancholy the nights are long, false bravado and smiles to cover the strife, maybe alone is where I belong, maybe I write my own sad song
What do they know. what do they know about where I go do they really care where we go, what do they know about where I go.
Alone is where I go. © 2017 llee |
