Fog

Fog

A Poem by llee
"

When you want off the ride

"

Fog

So it is with uncertainty

it spins you round,

like a child looking for their first buzz

the temporary escape

that leaves you feeling dizzy but wanting more.

Deeper down uncertainty becomes the ugly, dark side of depression

Its tentacles grasp at integrity,

dreams and self worth,

slowly tugging them away from you

sending them to be devoured by the beak of self loathing.

The sun can shine on but not shine in

when the blinders of loneliness deflect,

boredom and lack of direction are unseen padded walls

they keep you from finding the door,

flickers of brilliance with no follow through,

a Ferrari without wheels.

Ahh this is so understandable, it''s something that eats away inside of you until there's nothing left. " a Ferrari without wheels" - that my friend is such a wonderful line to sum it all up :)
