"Luna's Plea to Aurora"

"Luna's Plea to Aurora"

A Poem by L.C. Jarrette
"

Some long nights are dreadful

"
Evil has torn the streets
Thus leaving it bare
Silence lurking as it peeps
Another house up there

Humanity chanting as we call
Heavens hear our pray'r
Keep our household away from harm
In this forbidding lair

Staggering footsteps roused the hounds
Manned gates so vigilantly
See no lights, hear no sound
Watchful souls waiting to flee

Whirlybird flies back and forth
Awaiting for first light
Hope infixed in our hearts
That we may survive the night

"Luna's Plea To Aurora"
L.C. Jarrette,
Your poem is a layered work of black and white, evil and good. Can we people see the difference? I wonder sometimes. Have we become softened to evil, to lies, to subterfuge?
"Humanity chanting as we call

'Keep our household away from harm
In this forbidding lair"
Oh, we need the voice of truth and the motivation to address the things which cause trouble in our and others lives.
Great poem.

A powerful poem. To live with terror and war near. Would be a very hard life.

I did like the above lines. Felt realistic and true. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

glad you liked it.
Another wonderful poem. You can feel the fear in the people's heart. This for some reason reminded me of the Battle of Hogwarts.
