Over there

Over there

A Poem by Laura Lynn Close

Dear friend,
a lot has happened;
don't forget me.
Right now I feel
unattractive,
but maybe
excited that
now I can work.
Or if you are
veracious
even there,
risky venture
tomorrow seems.
How do I know
everything I need to?
Run away fears,
evening is lonely.

The loneliest time is evening, but the day comes with the brightness of sunlight. It dissipates the loneliness, asks us to look forward with hope and anticipation that only good will come. I think I see that in your last two lines.

"evening is lonely" now...but somehow i see hope in this---that whatever was keeping her down, is dissipating and she is feeling more herself, getting her confidence back...
sometimes friends don't stay when things get hard, maybe she is reaching out to see if that friend is still there, through it all...hoping...because now she is gaining momentum and pride.

I felt a tread of sadness about your simply structured lovely write. Very impacting to read - well done. However, just smile, be optimistic, things will be alright, everything in life takes time.
