EpilogueA Chapter by LiliaHe looked at me, weeks later, and the same fire we shared since the end of Tartarus stayed there. We sat in the mess hall for our last summer at camp, and I sat at the Poseidon table, by his side. People whispered, but I didn´t bother caring. ¨Can you grab one of those fruits for me, Percy?¨ I questioned. He nodded and stood to get a fruit, grabbing a bright red apple. ¨Thanks.¨ I smiled, ¨Just bring it over here, will you?¨ ¨Here, catch.¨ He tossed the apple to me, and I caught in both my hands. The campers around us went dead silent. It was a simple mistake, really. Anyone could´ve done this. Even still, my cheeks lit on fire. ¨Seaweed Brain, when you toss an apple to a girl- it´s considered a marriage proposal.¨ I explained slowly. ¨I know.¨ He smirked, and Leo Valdez, his good friend whistled. Low and long. As a daughter of Athena, I said something quite intelligent, nobody else could comprehend, ¨Ugh ugha allwa??¨ He got down on a knee, wiggling his eyebrows as he produced a black box from his pocket. It beheld a rose-gold band, with the words, Wise Girl on either side of what looked like red ruby. ¨Will you marry me?¨ I spluttered, and laughed giddily. ¨Y-yes!¨ Again, we beheld a large audience, which whooped and hollered. And I was never better. © 2017 Lilia |
