He just- floated away. Didn´t look back once. And I knew that I needed to fix things.

And, find out about that goddamned ambrosia. Demigods can only have so much at a time before it starts affecting them. Literally, they could explode?

Piper McLean, my primary target, a girl of Aphrodite lineage, she was a huge gossip, even to the camp shuns. Which just so happened to be me, at that point. She leaned against a huge oak, her brown hair cascading down her shoulders.

As I approached, I noticed a tiny problem. Jason Grace. Her boyfriend, son of Zeus, and Percy´s best friend. He wouldn´t let anything easily slip, especially if he could catch on.

This was fine. I´m a daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom, strategy, architecture, and weaving. A practical, critical, woman.

¨Piper,¨ I spoke with no difficulty, ¨Can we talk?¨

¨Annabeth!¨ She gave a giddy squeal, then rolled her eyes at the noise, ¨Sure.¨

Jason looked between the two of us and decided not to intervene. Thank the gods.

¨What´s up?¨ She asked, and sat down in the grass, and I crawled up beside her.

¨You know about Percy and his ambrosia, right?¨

Piper´s eyes went wide, and she put her voice to a low whisper, ¨Percy...he hasn´t been the same since Hazel came back..¨

¨What do you mean?¨ I looked over at Jason, who looked off, my voice as low as hers.

¨He suffered a real heartache. And so, he confided in ambrosia, to take his mind off of things.¨

I felt my eyes burn, and it took everything to hold the tears back, ¨How long has this been happening?¨

¨Since three weeks ago. When you broke up with him.¨

I looked deep into Piper´s eyes and knew the words to be true. I wish I had just stayed watching Jason because he did something, I should´ve expected. He called Percy over.

¨Yo Perce! Get over here!¨ He called out, and I watched as Piper cursed under her breath.

Percy jogged over, a smile on his face, and I saw his hands shaking. ¨Sup Jason--¨

I stood quickly and judo kicked Percy. He fell flat on his back, and people turned to watch, as he went to catch his breath. I took this opportunity and grabbed the blue bottle from his pocket. I dumped all the golden liquid inside onto the ground, watching the grass light aflame.

He gave out an angry groan and looked up at me.

¨Perseus Jack-¨

¨Shut up!¨ He shouted, and stood up, ¨You can´t call me that anymore! Y-you-¨

¨Percy! I made a mistake!¨ Tears fell down my cheeks, ¨You know I did! You probably know me better than anyone else, and yet, you'd rather pretend you don´t know me at all!¨

I pointed to the smoking grass, ¨Three weeks of non-stop drinking this?! What the actual f**k Percy?!"

Percy was silent, and his eyes never met mine once. "Annabeth-"

"Don't Annabeth me!¨ I shrieked, and more and more campers stopped their actions to watch the scene.

¨I f*****g care about you! Dipshit! I care! What the hell am I supposed to do when you start killing yourself?! Gods be damned! DEAR F*****G POSEIDON!¨ I threw my hands in the air, ¨What am I supposed to do when I f*****g love an idiot like you?!¨

The sea began to swirl, and an owl screeched at the waves.

I´m eighteen, but in that moment, I felt like I was seven again. Helpless, and enraged.

¨Gods! I hate you! You make me feel so- so-¨

I didn´t get to finish, because Percy had wrapped his arms around me, muffling my voice in his shirt.

The owl continued it´s screeching, whilst the sea began to settle.

Tears flooded from my eyes, and he took the time to wipe them from my face. Then he leaned in, and we shared the best kiss since that moment underwater.

The once silent crowd erupted in cheers. The owl stopped it´s incessant screeching, and the sea came to its normal state.

¨I love you Wise Girl.¨ He muttered through his burning cheeks as we separated.

¨I love you too Seaweed Brain.¨
