Chapter 6

Haha. She´s funny, I´ll give her that. 

Like Hades I´d let her and these other freaking terrifying spiders...invade Olympus. However, I knew that I was to play along with this little charade. 

¨And how- exactly am I a key?¨ 

¨With you as our bargaining chip, Athena would have no choice but to open the gate and allow us to cross over.¨

I let a laugh loose, flipping some of my hair behind my shoulder. ¨My mother is the goddess of wisdom. Do you honestly think she´d allow you to cross over on the scenario that one of her many children would die?¨ 

I laughed harder now, clutching my sides, ¨Gods....You really are nothing compared to Athena. She hates me.¨ 

Tears came to my eyes and I wiped at them, ¨You might as well kill me now, since, she wouldn´t give a Colchis s**t!¨

Arachne watched with her beady eyes, and many spiders began to crawl toward me, for which made my laughter end. 

¨Miss Chase....I regret to say, you are in fact wrong. We will be keeping you here, as long as we need.¨

¨The f**k?!¨ I scrambled back as several spiders approached, trying their best to encase me in a web. I reached to my side and whipped my bronze dagger out of my belt loop. 

¨Back off!¨ I shouted and began slicing at the creeps. 

Arachne reared back, ready to aim a large web my way. The dagger obviously wasn´t enough. 

I threw my bag down on the ground to get really mortal- bug spray. I swatted spiders away as I dug through the bag squeaking in pain as I was bitten. 

Arachne shot her web and I was entangled once more. The bag still in hand I grabbed something in a panic. The bug spray?!

I held it up, ready to spray anything in my path. And then I noticed. It was the blue water gun. 

¨PROPERTY OF- PERCY JACKSON?! GODS F-¨

A rush of water emerged from the spout at the end, drowning spiders in its path. A smile emerged on my face. And then, it happened. 

There was a glowing light and there he stood, my idiotic knight in goddamn khakis.
