Enough

Enough

A Poem by Indigo Ribbon

Twisted words and held breaths
why can't I say what I want?
with you  standing there
with that stupid, cocky, look on your face
shoes fidgeting, you're late
Somehow screaming
whatever, just get on with it

You don't care what I have to say
But then again, you never did

It laughable, incredible, impossible
to ever think that I could stay this way
ignored, disdain filling your every look
Are you happy?
Making me a complete laughable mess,
Do you take some sadistic pleasure in that?
I'm done with you, with your s**t
with my heart being trampled on
every time you say no

A years gone and passed
I think it's time to move on
Time to give up on the hopeless
the impossible, the ridiculous

But was it ever ridiculous?
Did I do something wrong?
Am I not smart enough?
Pretty enough?
Funny enough?
I'm trying hard to figure it out
Did I do something wrong?

it be great if you could give me a heads up
cause I can't tell a thing,
but i guess that's just the way you work
leave for the next, then the next
leaving a trail of broken hearts along the way

aw =( i think every girl has felt this way at some point. I can feel the anger from the piece but i like that you question your own momentary rationalization.
